Hi Katrina, I just started trading this year so others may have better advice but I always trimmed mine just enough to fit in the box. Maybe trim off the older leaves and leave the new smaller ones. If it's tall, trim some off the top. Alot of the leaves will wilt anyway and the receiver can shape it up. I think they will need some leaves left on for photosynthesis. Hope this helps. :)

Hi, When shipping remember that you should be removed as much soil possible. You will want to remove any damaged, dead foliage as well as trim back the plant enough that you can ship it. Remember to ship something that you know would survive for you if you received and transplanted it. Hosta and daylily do fine if you cut the foliage back to about 4-5 inches. Consider how you prune and cut things back in your own yard thru the seasons and this will help you. Some plants won't take a cutback.

You do know the ship on Mon, Tues or Wed rule, right? I had plants sent to me once that got stuck for a weekend somewhere in transit and they died. That's why it's best to ship the beginning of the week.
Consider the weather. Those same plants were shipped when it was 95 degrees or more and that didn't help their survival rate. Beware of extremes-hot or cold.
