I love the lap pool. Where can I find one?

It is called an Infinity Pool. I beleive there are several distributors.

Does the pool need special ventilation for the room it is in?

Yes, we put in a humidistat and a vent above the pool that kicks on as needed.

An infinity pool is a pool with an edge that seems to disappear into the horizon and whose overflow falls over the edge into a small parallel reservoir below. This pool is an ENDLESS pool. It's got a powerful current generator at its head that allows someone to swim against said current and remain stationary. It's basically the aquatic equivalent of a treadmill. They can be made in a wide variety of sizes and depths, and are wonderful for aquatic aerobics and "lap" swimming for exercise.
