as arule, I normally put about 20 seeds in a packet. Because they're extras from order, maybe you will consider putting less...I think that's acceptable because we all know there are 'lots' of seeds in a packet. For poppy seeds or the like with dust like seeds, I just put a pinch. Peony or canna seeds or the like, usually 10 to 15 is acceptable. but it's really all up to you!

The FAQs say that 2 to 3 dozen is the 'norm', but it's really up to you. I usually don't count - just place in an envelope and look and ask myself if I'd be happy receiving this amount.

If I feel the amount is small, I will relay that to the person I'm trading with and/or make it known on the trade list.
