Anise Hyssop is dying!

In the spring I put in 8 seedlings of Black Adder Hyssop and have two small plants of Anise Hyssop still in the container which I recently purchased...all from Tallahassee Nursery. One by one, starting about a month or so ago, the ones in the ground started turning black and dying. Now one of the two recently purchased hyssops which are still in containers on my deck is also turning black and dying. One thing they all have in common is they are in near proximity to lemon grass. Would that have a negative effect on the hyssop? Any ideas on what is going on?
