Rowanberry/Sorbus/Mountain Ash/... For Human Consumption

I'm trying to grow pretty much any decent tasting edible berry that can grow in my yard. I can't find much in English about varieties for fresh consumption and varieties best for preserves. I'm looking for the best fruit bearing sorbus species/cultivar.
