Well, the simple response to your question is that you need to plant both -- both are beautiful landscape plants that can easily be maintained at a smaller size through judicious pruning. Both produce very tasty fruit.

If you pressed me on which is better, however, I would have to side with the pinapple guava (Acca or Feijoa sellowiana, not actually a true guava). The fruit have a very refined pineapple/kiwi/mint flavor.

Strawberry guava (Psidium) fruit can be sweet and tasty, and, to some palates, the red-form fruit actually can have real strawberry overtones in their flavor. But they also can have resinous flavors as well (like many myrtaceous fruits).

Pineapple guavas also tend to be larger than strawberry guavas, and have insignificant seeds. Strawberry guava seeds are slightly large and woody (more so than, say, blackberry seeds) and bother some people.
