Dear Kekndall,

Bring them bareroot to the Green Elephant Plant Swap the first Saturday in March. I have black bamboo to trade for Sum and Substance.

I also have a good start of Hosta 'sagae' which is a very big variegated specimen. Not so huge as Sum and Substance, but upright and showy.

Yes I do still want some black bamboo. I'm wondering if I should dig up the hosta to divide now or wait until the end of the month? If I did would it be safe to put the roots in a brown bag and store them in the shed until the swap?

I think (guess) that it is a Platycladus (T. orientalis). I can send you a picture if it helps. The rhodies may be up for grabs, but I will know for sure by end of Feb.

I'll take some of your daylillies in trade for the dwarf alberta, they are all pretty,but I like the bi-colored ones, the siloam especially.
