Looking to revamp this space. Will be refinishing the floors and moving to a lighter colour. white walls. any suggestions for the fireplace? I am not really a fan of just painting the brick, seen it done many times and feels like it might be the "easy way out". Rip out the brick and go to tile? All the way to the ceiling with a floating mantle? Widen the fireplace? its going to be living room with the dining room on the right.... help! Sidenote, not looking to spend a huge chunk of cash!
