I guess I'll be limiting my WSing!!

So here I was, all geared up to try my hand at a whole bunch of winter sowing this year, but it looks like I'll have to try just a little bit and really get into it next year... ;o)

I just found out I'm pregnant! Very excited...a little nervous...I'll be happy once I'm out of the first trimester, and get that first ultrasound out of the way. I think I'm due towards the end of August, but I should know better in a few weeks!

Wow Verena that is exciting! :oD I don't recall any of us actually announcing that on the forum before... we must all be too busy gardening or something (LOL)... of course we have had some new Grandmas and Grandmas-to-be recently.

    Good luck with everything!

Congratulations! Being pregnant is a wonderful thing. Enjoy it. I remember the fluttering in my tummy when I could just start to feel the baby moving. So special. Were you sick at all in the first trimester? Hope your hubby is able to weed for you this summer. A baby might just be in the way! Hope you have air conditioning this summer!!!

That's wonderful news, Verena. Congratulations to both of you. But, I have one question (and it is with tongue in cheek, btw) - What does being pregnant have to do with your ability to do wintersowing? After all, we are able to go out and have our babies in the bush and then return immediately to the field to continue working, aren't we? lol

Great news. Take care of yourself and enjoy many precious moments with Brayden. It's the last time you'll have time with just him in your life. But, as mothers, our hearts are infinite in our capacity to love. There's always room for more.

    Thanks All!

Hmmmm...maybe I can still do my winter sowing after all...I'll just have to rope DH into helping with all that transplanting!! LOL!

I've been 'enjoying' morning sickness for the past week, but so far I've only actually gotten sick twice...and it's only bugging me in the morning...so here's hoping! (With Brayden I was sick all day everyday, right through until I delivered...I woke up the next morning and my first thought wasn't "Wow! I have a new baby..." it was "Yeah!!! I'm not sick!" LOL!!) Hopefully I don't have a repeat of that experience! And in spite of all that, I still loved being pregnant last time, so I'm really looking forward to it again!

Shauna...I guess I'm getting soft...I'd rather have my babies in the comfort of a hospital, and be pampered... LOL ;o)...that makes me think of DH's favorite saying..." Yeah, I remember when Brayden was born...but why'd you do all that whining...;-)" He's getting really excited too...he's convinced we're having a girl this time, so he's been trying to think of girl names. Oh, and he made me breakfast in bed this morning, and has been telling me to lay down and rest...good DH!! (It took him four months to get to that point last time ;-)

Anyway, I better go...Brayden's ready for his nap...and I need to start figuring out what I want started for this year, and what will wait until next...guess I'll have to go dig out my buckets of seeds and start sorting...It's a tough job but someone has to do it ;-)

    Thanks for the kind thoughts!

Congratulations Verena! How wonderful for you. I'll be wishing for a "not too hot" summer for you. A girl friend of mine had 3 babies(2 years apart) all in September........I kept bugging her that she was a gluten for punishment going thru July and August so pregnant!LOL

    Wishing you all the best,

Congratulations, Verena! Was it you who said you were down with "the plague" over the holidays? LOL What a plague! I also spent the summer pregnant with my last one (born Aug. 22nd), and i wore the maternity bathing suit too, but a lot of times i was IN the water! No wonder Adam is such a good swimmer now! LOL

I'm hoping that the new grandbaby-to-be will be a girl, but we just take what comes, eh? Take care of yourself, and, like Shauna says, enjoy your little boy now. Soon enough, he'll have to share you with the new one. Sometimes, with more than one, it's hard to see how to share yourself with all the demands on your attention!

Babies are the best. So sweet and cuddly and innocent.
