Yours looks just like mine. I've tried to find different ones in stores but so far no luck. Don't you just love the scent of the flowers?

Where did you find this plant, how long have you had yours, what are its growing requirements, how expensive would it be to purchase, if found somewhere, and how big is the plant, etc, etc?

I got mine from DH Great-Grandmother. I have seen them for sale though at Art Knapps for around $45. I have had mine now for 9 years and it has bloomed 3 times. You have to put it somewhere cool for the fall and then bring it in to a warmer spot to help force it to bloom, similar technique as Christmas cacti. The plant itself is about 18" tall with strappy leaves that are over a foot long. The flowers are scented and they remind me of daffodils scent.

Hi, re Clivia--I have had my Clivia for about 10 years, and it blooms faithfully every spring. A older friend who was moving into an apartment asked if I wanted it and I never turn down a plant of that stature. Mine is very overcrowded at the moment, and needs dividing. A very tricky job to do as the roots are very brittle, and can break quite readily. I have another one in a pot that was divided about 3 years ago, and it hasn't bloomed yet. They bloom best in crowded environment. They are not readily available, but I saw one in a Wpg. garden center last year, it had about three leaves, cost $59., plus taxes. Look it up on the net,there are many beautiful different varieties available, and the prices will floor you--up to $150 US.The leaves on my plant are approximately 2 feet long, and I keep it in the greenhouse for the summer. From info I've read they do not tolerate sunshine, but I have no problem with leaves turning yellow. That's about all the info I can tell you about this exceptional plant, and it is considered a houseplant in our climate. Any other questions?
