Fall colours! My favorite! Even if it means an end to summer and the beginning of too many months of cold! Thanks Sierra for starting this thread!

Husband & I are off to Nova Scotia in a week to catch the fall colours there. I'm excited!!

Last year's colours were wonderful and lasted a long time. Here's a link to the album they're in. Btw, Sierra, we don't have a lot of maples in this neck of Ontario - mostly scrubby ones and Manitoba maples. Many of the Manitoba ones seem to have lost all their leaves already. This afternoon when i'm out and about, i'll try to find some maple colour for you!

I love seasons and missed them so much while in the desert-- unfortunately our colors here dont show much- and I haven't been out in the countryside for them either-- here are a couple from my yard tho-- I don't have many trees!

Wonderful pics, everyone. If you scroll through this thread quickly, they look like shots being done for a calendar.

I also love the fall, but Edmonton this year, although pretty, doesn't seem as spectacular as some other years. The river valley trees seemed to drop many leaves rather quickly and so the color, although there, isn't as intense.

Fall is so incredibly beautiful, it's hard to decide what photos to select - every day is a little different, with one plant coming into its prime and another fading. But I thought I'd better get some pics before all the "fall color" is lying on the ground!

Love those colours! Especially the reds - bearberry, cotoneaster, cranesbill, they are so beautiful.

I was at the dog park this morning and the most beautiful colour was the red poison ivy - LOL at least I could see it to keep the dog out of it.

The black (or green, I can't remember) ash trees in Wpg are a beautiful clear yellow this week. I like fall - I just wish it was all winter too.

WOW all these pics of fall colors and "REDS" are wonderful!!!. The leaves have mostly dropped here now too...however there are still a few trees and shrubs that have just come into their fall colors. I noticed the leaves were dropping a lot yesterday.....even tried to catch a photo of them falling. haha

It was really windy here this weekend and a lot of leaves were flying around. Looks almost like raking season pretty soon!

Mmmm! Looks like around here except for the mountains! Is the animal a dog near the tree? Or is it a fox? Hard to tell - good camouflage!

The animal is a doe mule deer standing in front of the tree.
