What a nice surprise on this cold wintery day!

Wow, wonderful! I had a daylily bloom in February, and now a couple of the geraniums are blooming and so is one impatiens. Nothing like a peony, though!

Maybe I will have to take a drive out to your place, just to smell the peony. There is nothing like the sweet smell of a peony. I bet your house smells wonderful!!

Too bad you can't bottle the fragrance and send it to everyone on the FN. We all sure could use it about now...winter seems soooo long this year.

I love it when the outdoor plants start to bloom - even if it is inside! I've had indoor ones blooming - my amaryllis bloomed twice, once for Easter, and my hibiscus surprised me. But this weekend, my one and only alstromeria started to bloom. It seems like I just brought it out of the cellar a little while ago. As long as the dog doesn't dig it out of its pot again, it should be wonderful this summer. Too bad it doesn't smell as good as a peony.
