It's pretty good on the timing Brenda. Does it have a lot of buds on it? Hopefully it'll still be in bloom for Christmas for you.

My white one had a couple of blooms early in September. The other one doesn't seem to have any intention of blooming yet!

I have a white one and a bright pink one, the are both just filthy with buds right now. Maybe they're Hallowe'en cactus? They are a nice shot of colour right now with everything so blah outside.

Wow nice! Sure would like one of those to brighten up my house right now too.... hmmm... LOL

Christmas MUST be coming - i passed a house this evening that has a bunch of their decorations up. They have some really nice evergreens in pots (may be fake - i couldn't tell) with red ribbons all over them, and pretty swags of greenery on the house. I know today was a perfect day for doing that sort of thing, but come on, it's not Halloween yet, or even Remembrance Day! Just because the stores are doing it....

That makes this time of year more bearable..much prettier then any christmas decorations..savona

Brenda, do you still have flowers on your cactus? What colour is it?

My Christmas cactus is just little compared to yours. Right now, it only has about 15-20 blooms on it, although it has all kinds of buds still coming on it and so, will be blooming constantly yet for a few weeks still. Mine is the same color as yours is. I think it is time to transplant it into a larger pot and take some of the sections off to start more plants in the new pot. Mine is in the same original container (about a 3' pot) that it came in when I received it at a garden club Christmas party about 3 years ago.

I still remember my grandma's cactus...at about 2 1/2 - 3' across. Absolutely gorgeous in full bloom. Anyone have a huge huge Christmas cactus?
