Winter Protection

Hi Everyone hope everybody had a good Hoildays I have a question about my Fig Trees which are potted trees which I have in my deatached garage the trees are on wood pallets and thrusday night night temp is going to be 5 degrees.Would like some advise what I can do to keep trees safe from freezing.Should I wrap the pots with pink insulation and cover the wood with tarps.Any advise would be greatly appreciated.I live in Conn. zone-6 Thanks

If you mean 5 deg inside the garage, maybe you need to add a heater for the night. You don't say how many trees you have, and how much of a project it will be to insulate, and cover, etc. Might be easier to insulate the garage, and adding a heater, since this is going to be an annual event, if you keep growing figs.
