Isn't it great ?

Winter, other than for two separate weeks, has not come here this year. Most of the time it's felt like spring =:)

I'm getting a little concerned that the plants and shrubs will be "confused". I certainly hope that my bulbs don't decide to come up just before we get a last minute winter cold snap. I also have some perennials that I plunked in late in the fall that may not have had enough snow cover to keep them alive.

But......spring's coming and I can't wait !

I feel like I am coming out of hibernation now that the days are getting longer. Today was a bonus day..the predicted high was -1 and we got up to +4. I see a couple small patches of ground showing by the driveway and it wont be long before there is more showing. DH says we need the late winter snows to melt down through the old crusty snow to get it melting, I would rather it rained...lol

I'm in the same boat as NAF, we didn't really have winter except one week in January and this week. It's been niiiice. But I'm also a little worried about some shrubs and perennials, I keep thinking the buds swelled on my gooseberry bush and then froze. There is definitely light at the end of the winter tunnel, anyway.

I usually say when we have February behind us, we're out of the wood's.

But boy oh boy, we're spoiled...aren't we?
After a prediction that this winter should be a cold one has finally been reversed by environment Canada...agreed they made a mistake! ...Don't trust these guy's!

I was out pruning today...same last weekend and my honeybees were flying a little, all hives still alive, this was really encouraging!
