I have a request. My friend Joan's little grandbaby passed away last month, and Joan would like to plant a small shrub (2 foot or less) or a perennial at her grave, to go with the little angel she plans to put there. The cemetery is a classic old prairie one. It's on the top of a windswept hill with no trees, and any water would have to be hauled there. Snowcover is unreliable, to say the least. What she needs is something that is super tough and drought resistant. Does anyone have any suggestions?
