Susannah, I saw that you are looking for butterfly plants. What are you looking for? I've got plenty of milkweed seed, blue porterweed, dutchman's pipevine, red and pink salvia, dill, parsley, corky stemmed passionvine, false nettle, bacopa, mexican flame vine, purple and coral porterweed (cuttings), black eyed susans.

I'm probably missing some.

Ooh, now I have to google some of those. I already have a happy as can be blue porterweed bush, and I was just sent some milkweed seeds. I've got dill and parsely seeds coming up now. From what I can tell from Google, the two vines are probably a little too vigorous down here. But the bacopa sure is pretty. Does it need a lot of water in the winter?

And I love salvia.

Susannah, the Bacopa is a water loving plant. I am growing the native Bacopa monnieri which is a water loving plant. I have it in full shade, around the sprinklers. It's the host plant for the White Peacock butterfly. I would probably recommend a wet shady site for it.

I do very little irrigation beyond the veggie garden. We don't even have a sprinkler system, so the bacopa probably wouldn't make it in my yard. But I do like salvia.
