seed potato and onion sets arrived at Canadian Tire in our area last week. I get all mine from the farm supply stores (UFA and peavey mart) Walmart should have them in shorty I would imagine.

Yes, I think if you look in CT or other places that carry onion sets then you will find the usual bags of 100 sets of red, white, spanish onion sets, but they should also carry bags of 12 multiplier onion sets -- bigger bulbs so fewer in a package.

Lol, thanks for the quick responses, but I see now that I was very unclear in my original post, my aplogies. What I am looking for are commonly called potato onions or multiplier onions, which grow and multiply like shallots, just bigger. I have found a few places in Canada to order them from, but they both ship them in the fall only, and I was wondering if anyone has seen them in any of the local nurseries/greenhouses etc. Here is the first link that showed up when I googled them-

Update- checked Canadian Tire, and the multiplier onions they have are scallion type multipliers, to further confuse those looking for Potato or Egyptian onions, both of which are also called multiplying onions. Anyways, I'm going to check Holes' and Kuhlmanns' tomorrow, not holding my breath though.
