HAVE: Etlingera heiroglyphica
I have a very nice division of this plant available to trade. It will be the one "out in the path" in the bottom photograph. It is currently about to come into bloom.
This is a very tropical ginger, zone 10-11 plant as you know. This is the easiest to bloom Etlingera I have grown to date and I do believe that it would bloom in a container. It seems to be much more slow growing than the larger torch gingers like Red Torch and Pink Torch. This is a tulip torch, I believe the other name for it is E. fulgens.
The canes get to be about 12 ft tall and are slender, the foliage is beautiful and slightly iridescent. Of course the canes would have to be cut to ship, but this would not affect the basilar emergent blooms. There are also new canes shooting.
I would like to trade this for things from this specific list if possible, if you are interested and have nothing from this list please make an offer, I may want what you have, who knows?
