They're perennials and they're tough - they might get frostbitten with that temperature but they should be okay. I guess if you wanted to, you could throw the leaves back on, or more snow.

Thanks Marcia. I covered a few with some buckets and old pots, and said to he## with the rest.

I guess I'll see if the covered ones do any better in the spring. (hey isn't this supposed to be spring?)

I agree, just leave em. I once had tulips in full bloom and got somewhere around -12 overnight... they went all limp and floppy but it didn't kill them. They just kept blooming like normal but bent over.

I just noticed my first crocuses today! I planted nice big late ones (Pickwick with purple veins) a couple of years ago and they have never bloomed until now. :0)

I have a couple of iris reticulata about to bloom, so i'm sulking now. LOL

Mine got covered with snow last night. c
