Wow driftwood would be really expensive to ship. Good luck finding some. If you don't, it may be worth your while (depending on exactly where you live) to drive to Waldo (just outside of Gainesville) and go to Tom's Cypress. He has lots of river driftwood, cypress knees, cedar, and all sprts of stuff.

Thanks, bihai. I'd forgotten about Tom's, though we've driven by the place a zillion times! I'm only 12 miles from the beach but finding a piece of (affordable!) driftwood is like searching for the holy grail! Thanks for the reminder, I may wind up down there after all.

corar - please tell me if you have any luck. I've been searching this past year for good driftwood. You would think it would be so plentiful here.......

cindeea, I used to think the same thing! I've lived just 12 miles from the beach most of my life - and when you could stumble over the stuff, no one wanted it! Now, all the beaches we went to are sealed off by condos and you can forget skinny-dipping anywhere in the state!
I may have to drive down to Waldo after all.
