Wow, that's awesome Deb! No signs of scapes in my yard yet, but it should be soon. It's supposed to go down to -2C here tonight, so it's probably a good thing there aren't any scapes yet. I'm worried about my apple/cherry blossoms and how well they'll produce if they all freeze tonight.:(

I have a five inch scape on Stella D'oro, I don't know if that's about where it should be or not...?
Those really are hardy little plants, I had a few overwinter in half barrels this last winter too.

The hardy clematis 'Blue Bird' has alot of blooms forming now too in a half barrel on the deck.

We are hovering just above the freezing mark at night here too Laurie, but so far so good.
Just noticed my Stella's & Mary Reed's have scapes coming along too Rob. And please post pics of your blue bird when it is blooming. I just planted that and Lagoon on my back chainlink fence along with Prairie Celebration and my Prairie Peace roses (and a few other perennials)
