Anyone finding any really discounted plants that you were able to get a great deal on??

I just was at the local Home Depot this morning and they had left the hostas and some clematis outside ... they don't like the freezing nighttime temps we have had here!!

So, I got for a dollar each...

one Serenata Clematis

one Pink Fantasy Clematis

one Patriot Hosta

four Frances Williams Hosta

one Blue Angel Hosta

one Gold Standard Hosta

one Sum and Substance Hosta

one Elegans Hosta

Now, to nurse these back to health. Actually the hostas are all sending out fresh leaves already. The clematis each have leaves at the bottom that look just fine. Into the greenhouse they are going.

The clematis...hmmmm...where to plant the two of them is the question. Last year's clematis were planted beside tree stumps, beside mature trees (my Willie...thanks to Laurie) and beside low growing shrubs while only a few went around the house or against the greenhouse. I had purchased about a dozen reduced ones from Home Depot last year.

What have all of you out there found for reduced bargain plants in your town?
