Right now it could just be cold wet soil which also doesn't help the uptake of iron. I'd wait until the soil warms up more.

I have stupid alkaline soil, too, but daylilies aren't usually bothered by it.

I went outside to check my dayliles and a few of them are green with yellowish veining. Also, a couple of the tulips are like that, too.

I think Pudge is probably right. Last year and this winter were maybe just too much for them.

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one anyway! I have noticed this problem in some of my other plants - siberian irises and roses especially, the last couple of springs also, and for the most part they seemed to revert to green later in the year for whatever reason. So you may be right pudge.

If it doesn't clear up after awhile I'll get out the iron chelate.
