I got some of my first figs from EL many, many years ago.
VdB, Petit Negri would be a couple of good ones. Good Luck

Hardy Chicago and Celeste will both do well in your climate and they both make delicious fruit. Good luck with your first figs!

How was EL? What did you buy? I would love to visit there. I just ordered a VdB from them. I can't wait until it ships. I want to order an IE Mulberry tree from them, but the shipping is too high. Good luck with your first fig(s)!

I had a great time at EL. It is up a big hill with a gravel driveway. I got a Hardy Chicago 3/4 gallon and a smaller Celeste. I saw the VdBs. They looked great and I was tempted, but I figure I had better see what I can do with these two first! It was definitely worth the small drive out of my way.

PLEASE read all the prior postings regarding the over-wintering of small, fig trees. Growing fig trees is almost never a problem. Keeping them alive in colder climate zones is almost always a problem. It can be done. Proper precautions will be necessary. We all do it in the colder climate zones.
