Several questions

I would like to grow spaghetti squash. When should I start them in 9a zone, what variety, and are they bothered by a lot of pests? Also looking for "green vegetables" that are low in oxlate acid. I found a low acid spinach on Bountiful Gardens web site. Anyone know of anything else? It seems all greens are high in it. Thanks

Spaghetti squash are very easy to grow here. The only pests I had a probelm with were ants. And powdery mildew was an issue as well with all the water they needed. You can start them now in pots and bring them in if we get a freeze. Hope that helps

Mine was beautiful and on Thanksgiving I went out to pick green beans and noticed the vines had been skeletonized Closer look had me Really mad. Little worms popping out everywhere on the squash like a pincushion.It was soooooo close to harvest too.
