Had one, never had a apple in about 6 years until it died.
But then it was out in the open, it might work in a sheltered spot?

I should have taken scion wood off and try somewhere else.

Thanks . Mine is in a some what sheltered are so here's hoping it will work. One more question . Do you get maggots in your plums. ? That Apple Maggot lure also mentions plums so I'm wondering if I shud hang one in the plum tree.

With plums we're still good, no need. Did you get the fly trap? From where?..I'm just starting to get some maggots too. Please let me know if you're having less damage. How many traps you're putting up per tree?

This is my first year using them and as my trees are quite small I use one per tree but the directions say to use more if it is a large tree .Most of the local Greenhouses carry them. I know for sure :Greenland and Salisbury have them. I certainly hope they work as they are not cheap . I just wish more people would pick up their rotten apples in the fall or just get red of the trees if they don't want to do anything with them.
