Frost bite fig tree

WE had a frost in the Boston area last week and my container fig tree got frost bitten. The tops of some branches and their leafs were affected. Should I prune the affected parts, or will will the tree make its own repairs.

I hope someone can help me on this.

The same thing happened to one of my plants one frosty night. I am leaving it as is because the tender leaves at the tip were affected but there is still a green mass near the base of the leaves at the tips that I expected to leaf out soon.

Thanks for the feedback. Mine also has a green mass near the base of the leaves at the tips. I've had the tree for 4 years and I got sick when this happened.

The fig tree mentioned above that had its leaves affected by frost in early May this year has vegetatively done fine but did not fruit at all this year. It had fruited last year (summer 2007) the first time. Could the frost bite be the reason.
