Mine won't be flowering for a few weeks, yet. You'll be able to tell, soon, if the plumes are from your OG, because they're distinctly pink and gorgeous. KF is a clumper, but some of the stems can come up a couple of inches away from the main clump. If yours is really spreading several inches or more from the main plant, then I'd suspect you have an invader. Not an easy thing to deal with!

Mine aren't pluming yet either. And yeah, it's a clumper and not a spreader. I have no suggestions for you either - I'm going to be waging the same battle in a few other grasses I have, including Calamagrostis Overdam.

Well dang, what a mess, I must have quack invading at least two of the clumps because they sure look like the same grass that is out in the pastures that are ready to plume too. LOL.

So therefore, I dug those two up and tried to remove as much unwanted grass as I could manage (hard to tell) and transplanted them way in the back garden incase Karl appears. When I dug them up they did come up as clumps...I guess will see ;)

I was digging quack grass out of my beds today, too. What a job! It's even harder getting alien grass out of OG, so you must have been quite frustrated, at times. Karl's blades look no different from most ordinary grasses...but wait until it plumes!!

I had to dig out 4 KF's a few weeks ago to make room for a hedge. I divided the clumps (talk about a hard job!!) into 19 pots. A couple of the divisions were closer to the weaker centre (it was hard to cut that part out), so they're looking a little ragged--but the other divisions are growing nicely. I can't wait until I get rid of the front turf so I can replant these! I won't be waiting so long before I divide them again, though!!
