I haven't checked for tomatoes yet, but they are flowering well. When they start to flower, I rub my fingers across the blossoms hoping that fruit will set.
I planted 6 tomatoes in Kozy Coats. Wow. What a difference these have made on the size of my plants. They are at least triple in size of the same variety that doesn't have them on.

I have sub-arctic 25's (developed in Fairbanks). They are ultra-early outdoor cherry tomatoes.

This year I have three in a raised bed:

I'm growing Sub-Arctic Plenty.

Yesterday when i went to pick up the little grandguy, he had to bring me out to their garden to show me the little tomato on one of their plants. I don't know the variety, but it didn't matter to him - he sure was proud of it!

I finally put my smaller tomatoes and peppers out yesterday - kept forgetting they were there. They're safely tucked under a garden blanket. A couple of the ones I planted earlier, and put under hot caps or in the greenhouse, are flowering. This year I planted (6 of each) Arctic Fire, Arctic Beefsteak, Arctic Pot'n'Patio, Sub-Arctic Maxi, Manitoba, and Sugary. I usually have good luck with the Sub-Arctic Maxi, but don't really like the taste, so I'm trying a few others - all supposed to be short season. Manitoba usually works reasonably well. The rest are new to me.

I have yet to grow a decent tomatoe. This year I'm trying sweet 1000000 but I have a question,

Do you still add fertilizer if its raining?

I have heard good things about the sweet million. Personally I only add fertilizer when I am watering. So if it is raining, I put it off until my next watering.
