Fig question

I've just recently moved into a house with a lovely fig tree!

I am new to figs (and growing things in general!), however, and am wondering if it's possible to tell what kind of fig it is.

Here's a close-up:

You can kinda see the whole tree here:

It already survived last winter without being wrapped up or anything, so I'm assuming it will continue to be OK.

I'm also assuming pruning isn't terribly necessary or desirable?

Also, it has a grape vine (I think) which is entwined with the tree. It looks like the previous owner did this on purpose - but is the grape going to become a hazard to the tree? Here is a picture of some of the vine:

Thanks in advance for helping me do the best for my tree!
