Oh I LOVE gazanias! Every year I find a few more places to put them. Their flowers are so symmetrical and so many different colours. Too bad they don't spread into a bit bigger plant though...

That's a great pic jetred, I think you see their symmetry the same as me.

It works now and looks great! I LOVE the colour. I had some of that kind last year and they seemed to almost glow in the sunshine just like in your photo.

Ohhhh I love gazania too. Nice shot jetred! I have been planting them from seed for several years now. Mine haven't started to bloom yet.....but soon.

savona which series of seed did you buy? I have never seen the ones with the white brush strokes before. They are very pretty!

I've been growing Gazanias for a few years now, I love them because they are so great for those hot-dry loving areas in the garden... mine haven't bloomed yet this year because we haven't had that much sun! This year I am trying Gazania splendens 'Kiss Mahogany' hopefully they will bloom soon.

I have a question about these loverlies.................also a comment................when the dry fuzzies appeared after each bloom was finished, I spread them around and I have hundreds of new baby plants. I was considering two things: gently removing the babies, transplanting them and finish growing them indoors OR: why not just dig up the whole ones plantedand bring them indoors for the winter cheer?
Guess I could experiment; maybe ya'll have ideas or even done it already without starting from seeds in Feb/Mar. I may just have to save more fuzzies!!!!

For sure you can overwinter them indoors, after all they are perennials from South Africa. Store them in a cool room and let them go dormant by holding back the water.

Yet more gazanias! 'Daybreak' this time... We always plant a few gazanias - they have a lovely xeric look in a clay planter!
