I am not a daylily collector so I did a search and did not find a daylily by that name. Are you sure it is a daylily your friend wants?

There is a plant called Painter's Palette its Latin name is Persicaria virginiana.

Ask your friend if a daylily is the plant they are looking to purchase.

Marquest - There is a PP dalily registered.

Here is a link that might be useful: AHS

I blame the apostrophe! The AHS DB is very particular about whether a name search has an apostrophe, and some plants are registered with them while others are not.
