Would that tree be on Hwy 49 south of Auburn in a certain park next to a small white house??

It is in a park but it is not on Hwy 49. Not too far away from 49 though. The park features a large lawn, a small children's play equipment area, and a red garage right in the middle of the park. Oh, and a wooden footbridge over a creek, on the bank of which the fig tree is growing. Sound like the same? There are houses on either side, I believe, but I do not know what color they are.

You have piqued my curiosity though... I'm dying to ask.

Tree is near (within two blocks) last one I led you to. Small, tough skinned , yellow figs. weird dried sap droplets all over them . Not high on my list of fine dining on figs. Good hunting. FF

I am not sure exactly where you folks are talking about fig exploring, but around the Winters, CA area there are roadside figs everywhere. They would make good exploring.

And if you can stomach the town, Clearlake, CA has more than a few interesting figs scattered around. I think the town has a population of 8,000 or so, and last time I visited we counted at least 38 seperate police cars!
