The sardine cans have 2 screws running up from the bottom for the feet. The other cans simply have holes punched with a wire running through them There's one continuos wire that goes from the outside of one arm, through the "armpits" and into the other arm. Just bend the wire on the ends to secure giving it a little room so the "joints" can move with the wind. The legs are attached in the same way. The man that made mine spray paints everything silver but I like the more eclectic look so I left mine out all year so it would rust and not look so "perfect".

Darling! All I would do is add a little oil can in his hand!

Attach cans with galvanized wire. cans are not galvanized but the wire is thinner and will rust through faster.
