It bloomed last year!

Does anyone have any input, thoughts or ideas about why my Heuchera x brizoides 'Bressingham' did not bloom this year. It was planted two summers ago, at about this time. It bloomed last year prolifically from May to September. This year, the plant looks very healthy, is well mounded and has not heaved, as they are sometimes prone to do. I have not fertilized it but it looks so lush and green, I saw no reason to. Should I fertilize it before the Aug. 15 cutoff?

Help?!?

Perhaps it needs dividing, try that next spring Shauna.

I wouldn't fertilize now, wait till next spring to do that too.

I'm no expert, but maybe your very wet spring had something to do with it. Otherwise, i don't know. (Sierra would tell you that you did the wrong dance steps!)

I wondered about dividing it, too. It's about 15", maybe 18" in dia. Must be this good, rich Alberta black soil that I've got. I didn't think that I had to divide things every second year, tho.

You'd think that things would grow really lopsided, too, with the type of dances I can do. Hop, limp, hop, limp . . .
