those critters are cute but i like figs better , yesterday all i could do was drape bird netting over the fig plants to save the dozen or so fruits, they are still green but the critters still take them
i think i am going to see if i can build something like your "fig cage" but on a small scale. thanks for the idea

I have a huge fig tree and have had pretty good luck keeping squirrels out by hanging an old sock full of moth balls in it.
