I can hardly wait for mine.

I just went rooting through my pics to find one of Allium Christophii, but couldn't. That's lovely too - a really large head with pinky-purple flowers. I think it's rated zone 4 or 5 but it's planted close to the house foundation and has come back for several years now.

I can't remember what kind mine are - they might be christophii. They bloom late, with the peonies. I didn't know alliums were so expensive!

They do look like Christophii. Are the heads about 6" across? Mine's kind of tucked in a corner and i keep forgetting to take pictures of it. Will remedy that situation next summer.

Yeah that's about how big they are. I think Pudge told me a few years ago they're christophii. Sounds familiar anyway.

Yeah, it seems most of mine are up too, even the ones that didn't bloom last year. I haven't "peeked inside" but i'll have now, i guess, eh? LOL It seems that picture was taken in late June, so you may have to wait awhile. I don't know what year it was, though, so you never know.

Christophii is up about 4-5" as well. :)
