This fig has all the qualities of the dried figs that you buy on a string. Very tough skin and rich, delicious taste. Yellow fig, before being dried. They dry this color on the tree, then fall off the tree. An easy press of the thumb and it flatens out. No caprifigs that I could find in the immediate area that this fig is growing. I have a few third season trees that are about 5 feet tall with large, immature, green figs that I hope will ripen in the next month or so.
