Pear slugs (Sawfly larvae)

Just noticed yesterday some damage occurring on my cherry plum shrub. I remembered these things on our cotoneaster hedge when I was growing up.

I would love to be able to spray them (no, not with Raid Ant & Earwig Killer. Learned my lesson on that one LOL) I'm wondering if I can dissolve some Sevin into H2O and put it into a spray bottle. Has anyone tried this? Does Sevin dissolve in water? This shrub is getting fairly large and I have my baby cherry trees (18" - 24" tall) in very close proximity to the chum, as well as a hawthorn tree, 2 saskatoons and a nanking cherry. All of these will be susceptible hosts. Powdering them all will be difficult. I haven't seen Sevin liquid. Is it available or is there something else I should be using?
