Fig Harvest 2012 video

This year I have picked the most ripe figs at one time. Part of it is do to my trees getting more mature and part is do to the great weather we have having here in New England at the end of August 2012. Here is a video of the plate of Hardy Chicago, Marseilles VS Black and Negronned figs I picked and sampled.

OK, that made my mouth water. My 5 year old came over and watched and said "Ooh those look so good daddy, lets go see if we have any ripe figs!" We got three BT's (make unenthusiastic yeah sound) and one big delicious Peters Honey. I really wish my plants were bigger, we get about 20 figs this year. I also really wish I had that plate of figs!

I have been lucky this year I harvested two times so far over 100 ripened figs from 3 trees beside I eat every day 3 or 4 when I go check on the trees. I think the wasps ate some too.
