Fall - with a vengeance

After several weeks of beautiful weather, Mother Nature did a complete turnaround yesterday with wind, rain, and freezing temperatures, and a wind chill, believe it or not! It's 0Â° here this morning.

So, the summer that wasn't isn't anymore. The forecast for the next couple of weeks shows temperatures being at or below normal. On the bright side, this has probably done in the mosquitoes!

We had the rain and strong winds yesterday but daytime temps were also cooler, 12-14C, and staying that way for a few weeks. I was hoping to still be able to collect some seeds but I don't think that will be possible! I hope Thanksgiving will be dry.

That was my thing too - seed collecting. So far the cosmos and nicotiana are all right, so with any luck i'll be able to get seeds from them. I have some really nice colours of nicotiana this year. :)
