Hi everyone --

My wife and I have been enjoying a great crop of wonderful figs this season from our Celeste, and usually we eat them fresh from the tree. However, sometimes after I pick we're not ready to eat them, so they go in the refrigerator. After just 24 hours they're half the size when they came off the tree, and taste "watery" and not as sweet.

How can I store them so they'll taste better at a later date?
