I'm told by growers here in my USDA zone 4a that Autumn Bliss does well. Never heard of the others, but I'm not really in to rasberries. And a double crop where you are? I doubt it. The summer crop will slow the maturation of new canes of the same year by sapping energy to produce seed. It's not recommended here either. But you could mow down half your rasberries in the fall for a fall crop next season, and the other half would have a good summer crop.

I'm trying to remember . . . I think it is called Redwing rasberry that is fall producer and a U of Minnesota introduction. A grower tells me its fall crop is very good, but it also has very long canes. He has them staked. Don't remember if he said he pinched them or not. But that could delay the crop.

Rick, thank you for your comments. I just might try your recommendation of mowing down half the row and leaving the other half as be. Will be interesting how these primocane varieties fair under my conditions and hearing experiences from others in similar cold climates.

I have had Primocanes for two winters. They do great. Last summer I had a great crop, although I think the flavour isn't as strong as my traditional berries.
This summer was a bit cooler and while the canes are loaded with fruit they are not going to have time to ripen.
The canes came from the ground this spring.
I am going to mow the front half of the patch and see what happens next year.

appletreasure, it's good to know that last year your primocane raspberries had produced a good crop. This summer was again very cool and wet in my region, though if we'd only had received some heat I'm sure the berries would have properly ripened. Maybe, next summer will be better, I HOPE!
