I planted mine into a container and sank the container into the ground. I'm sure they'll be fine because i've broken off bulblets while digging around in the garden and just poke a hole into the ground for them. The next year, there are tiny lilies growing. :)

Thanks Brenda. I got mine the other day in the mail. Probably tomorrow I'll get them in the ground. Good idea to use a pot for them then I remember where I planted them. I don't know when Sierra will get hers as I saw her on Monday so they came a day late. She'll probably have to wait now until spring time.

I dug out the pot yesterday. They are growing Brenda. So I took them out of the pot and planted them in the ground.

I have this memory, and it's not called "good"! LOL I found the pot i sunk into the ground but couldn't remember ever buying that lily. However i must have because i thought that it was intended for my sister-in-law whose last name is Robinson. Nothing was coming up in the pot, so i dug around and found the bulblets - still nothing tweaked.

If i had a brain, i'd be dangerous.....

I haven't heard from Syreeta to find out how the bulbs did this winter. Hopefully they survived nicely. They are a pretty lily.

I forgot all about them. Hmm... I'll have to go looking for them. I do have two clumps of leaves from bulbs where I think I planted them. But I don't think they are lilies. I'll have to look for them tomorrow.

I dug out the pot I have mine planted in but no action yet. They were buried in a shaded area along a hedge so I have moved them into a sunnier spot for more light and heat to see if I can get something going...

I actually moved my pot into my greenhouse where it has been sitting behind some taller plants. I just noticed the other day that I do indeed have sprouts. I will be planting out soon with protection so that the pesky deer that I have hanging around doesn't think that I have added a new selection to his nightly buffet... :(

I have a confession...........

I planted them in my flowerbed last fall. - and then forgot I planted them in the flowerbed last fall. And dug up and redid my flower bed this spring. And then remembered that I had planted them in my flowerbed last fall.........so I don't know where they ended up for real. But.........I do have what might be one coming up - and the reason I think that is because its not in any "row" of anything I planted - its just kind of out there - so I think at least ONE survived.

Sandcase, hi! Haven't talked to you for a while. I am sure that there will be more bulblets on the Robinson's Comet this fall again...there always is. So...if you can't find them and for sure lost them, we'll make arrangements to get some more to you. What did you put into your flowerbed? Annuals? Perennials? Have the deer been leaving the flowers alone?

Mine were about 2-3" tall. I stuck a bow on the pot and gave it to my sister-in-law on Saturday (her birthday). She gets to do the babying now. :)

My Robinson's Comet lilies are couple inches for sure. I actually left a deep impression in the soil when I planted and it is slowly filling in.
