    Wow Moonphase,

I am not Allysin, but I just had to tell you how beautiful your penstemon is. I have a red one, and I can't find a seed on it :(
and it doesn't flower as profusely as yours either :( :(

Ah, I am such a huge fan of penstemon. Love yours! What a trooper this plant is, huh? Just keep the spent bloom stalks cut back and give it a drink a couple of times a week, then stand back and watch the show. : )

One word of caution, if yours is a hybrid it isn't likely it will reseed as the same plant color. But it will still be lovely and if you plant other hybrids near it you will often have a whole new color you never expected. I've had some light pink and red cross and ended up with a coral color that I love. I'm taking some cuttings to make sure I have more next year. : )

    Hi Moonphase,

If I'm not mistaken, I think you posted this picture for a trade with me, right?

I like your Penstemon Elfin Pink very much. I don't usually post here, but I lurk occasionally for the pictures. This might be a bit tall for my rock garden, but I am looking for things to attract hummers, and I bet this penstemon will do it.

Thanks for posting the pic. It looks nice and healthy, and a very pretty shade of pink.

I haven't seen your email, but I'll email you with my address.

That Elfin Pinki Penstemon will certainly attrack hummers! I have some in my front garden and as soon as it blooms it's like a message gets sent or something and Hummers always appear. It is usually the first time I can see them since it blooms pretty early...late Spring early summer. I think it's a wonderful plant and yours is gorgeous!!

Moonphase, after seeing your pretty pic I had to add some Elfin Pink to my fall Bluestone order. Now to decide where to plant it.

Thank you to everyone for the compliments.I too, like this plant. It grows rapidly for me.I have divided it and cut it back by 1/3 in early spring and it bushes out so nicely.I really want some red varieties. We have a walking trail here with beautiful flowers planted along the trails the county plants. There are 2 beautiful red ones and I keep checking them for seeds. Not a one yet.:-(..I may have to break down and buy some because the reds are gorgeous.I will send out alot of these seeds and hope they will do good for the ones that get them.

Wow! I think I need to add those to my seed list! The color is wonderful. Is that gaura to the right? You have such a pretty garden. I like the split rail fence in the background with the roses too. Sue
