Will Fig Trees Set Fruits without Required Chill Hours

For South Florida fig growers:

Are you able to get your fig trees to set fruit without the required chill hours? I thought I read someone from South Florida post somewhere that he is able to do this. I am trying to confirm or validate this. If yes, what variety(ies) will be best?

Having recently retired, I plan to split my time between California and the Philippines (tropical weather - none below 65 degrees Fahrenheit). I would like to try to grow some fig trees there if I can get them to set fruit.

I have many young trees rooted this spring that have figs ripening now.

My hardy chicago fig has gone through 4 fruiting stages with out a single hour of chill I started it last july as a cutting and in four months it fruited. and fruited in may. It set another fruiting in early august and is now fruiting in late september. I will be bringing my tree in for the winter in early october.

EdibleLandscaping.com carries them for $7 dollar for a 2 inch pot. I started my from a 1.5 inch cutting july 15 2012. This is what it looks like as of 8-14-2013

The tree has produced about 10 figs and has about 6 more on it now. I lost count of the past figs and is to dark outside now to count the present figs
