Look at what the Far North Forum got today, sometime in the last couple of hours. We now have a Conversations and Gallery forum.

Just wanted to remind everyone, after all of our work, that we were granted a conversations forum and a gallery forum. We're all pretty good about using the conversations area (and we have a lot of fun on it) but I just wanted to see if we could all agree to use the gallery for our "Week of . . ." photos and our photos that we want to show to everyone. Personally, I love to go over to the gallery and see the fruits of all of our passion.

But, I also like to see the odd picture in the discussion forum here, that adds support to a question or a particular thread. Would everyone be in favor of only posting supporting pics here but putting all of our album pics over in the gallery? That way, we will know that most of our pictures are over there and that's where we would look for them later.

Ummm, Shauna, no offense... but shouldn't this be in the Conversations section? ;-)

Thanks for the reminder, Shauna! :)

Lori, some of the new people are still not aware of the different areas (Konrad, for instance). He wouldn't have read this in the Conversations area because he didn't know it was there. But we're glad he found it!

Annie:- a gallery forum is a forum for pictures.
Near the top of the messages is a title "On-Topic Discussions [Switch to: Gallery : Conversations]"
Click on the words Gallery or Conversations to get to those forums.

And, as Shauna said, we don't have to limit our pictures to the gallery. Lots of times, we need to post some here to illustrate something - the nice curvey raised bed posted here today, for instance. Last year we started weekly picture threads and they got pretty picture-full! :) So hence the suggestion to keep these in the gallery.

Had to laugh last year when we got these new areas. "Conversations" is supposed to be for non-gardening topics, but we all had one question - "IS there any topic other than gardening??" LOL

Yes, sometimes we have Conversations that are supposed to be off topic but we end up talking about gardening anyway. LOL.
