Sad fig

Oh dear. I seem to have made every fig mistake possible!Help please. I have a 20+ year old Brown Turkey fig that was been neglected and sick for a long time. The bark was back and sooty looking, the branches were very knarling and the leaves were stunted, no bigger than 2 inches across. It did have a few suckers that were trying to survive. I was told it had fire blight and to prune it to the ground. I did. Lush new growth appeared, huge leaves, smooth bark and it starting producing lots of new fruit. Hurray!

TS Fay dumped 9 inches of water in my yard although it drained quickly. Now the fig's leaves are brown and curling. It looks horrible. What do I do next? Thanks for all your help.
