Hello, yes just a name. I am getting ready to harvest my turnips from the unheated greenhouse but I will wait until the last possible moment i.e. before it gets to -12 C or so. I'll let you know how they taste. A la Eliot Coleman, I used two layers of row cover (Agribon) over hoops and planted turnips, radishes, bok choy and kale in mid-September. All are doing well but so are aphids!!! I'm actually looking forward to some cold weather to get rid of them. Tomorrow I'll put some 4-mil poly over the covers to generate another layer of protection. So far, lows inside are running 5-8 C over ambient which is ok but not enough for when the real cold arrives.
